I am a playgroup leading, lecture giving, research doing, great food cooking, laughter loving, often singing, usually tired mother living and working in Dunedin, New Zealand. I share my house with 6 other fabulous mammals and there is not enough floor space or couch real estate to go around. All together it’s me, Hubby, daughter (big), daughter (small), dog (of mystery origins), cat (standoffish), and cat (waaaayyyy to friendly).

I’m looking forward to using this as a space to connect my mothering life with things happening outside of my home.  As you read the blog you’ll get to meet my mammals and get a sense of how these wonderful creatures (the furry and the not so furry) teach me something new everyday. It might not be something you ever wanted to learn but here is the place I’ll tell it to you anyway. I wish I could be more specific but to be honest with you I’m not 100% sure what I’m going to write about yet (I am optimistically planning to rewrite this sentence soon once I have figured this out. I’m realistically suspecting I won’t).

So welcome aboard friends! Please enjoy spending some time with me and the mammals!

Me trying to look awake on a holiday with our youngest daughter – about 2 months old at the time.
